This public petition of current military members, veterans, and military family members is respectfully submitted to the United States Senate to support President-elect Donald J. Trump’s nomination of Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense.


Dear Senators, the signatories of this petition proudly and publicly support Pete Hegseth’s nomination as Secretary of Defense for the following reasons:


  1. Pete Hegseth will ensure the United States Military can defend our homeland, deter our enemies, and successfully fight our wars should we need to do so.

  2. Pete Hegseth will ensure our military continues to invest in advanced technology to ensure our men and women in uniform have the tactical advantage.

  3. Pete Hegseth will ensure that all our brave service members are treated with honor, respect, and dignity.

  4. Pete Hegseth will end the woke ideology and social experiment of the military that causes a derogation and weakening of our military’s capabilities.

  5. Pete Hegseth has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He knows the love and sacrifice it takes to put oneself in harm’s way. Pete Hegseth also knows what it takes to achieve victory on the battlefield.
